WOW! Time flies when you are having fun. This has been one
hell of a class. I loved the format and how it was set up it was a lot better
than having to take exams and have it been focused on your exam scores. I think
more classes should be like this to be honest, I feel like I retained more
information that I learned in this class than any other class.
For the most part I don’t feel like I had any low points in
my blog posts. I really enjoyed the posts, and for the most part I tried to
include humor and funny memes and Always Sunny pictures in them to keep them a
bit livelier. I feel that this made the class more fun and interactive. Because
this had no formal exams there was no real moments of dread, or being depressed
about an exam score. You, for the most part, got out what you put in into the
class.
The most formative experience in this class had to be having
to contact the people that can help you in the future of your business idea.
This is a task that everyone is going to have to do at some point in their business
career. I feel like this was great practice for when you need to do this. I
will remember this whole class years later. This was a fun and engaging class
that way memorable for how different it was. The experience that I am most proud
of in this class was submitting all the assignments on time and not missing any
of them. In a class like this one I feel
that I would forget to do a Cupcake, or a blog post. I stayed on top of
everything and submitted everything on-time. My most joyous experience was
coming up with my idea for my application. This was a very difficult thing as it’s
hard to think of something new and innovative in today's world when there is
something that does just about everything.
After taking this course, I see myself as more of an entrepreneur
than I would have at the beginning of the course. I see the world in a bit of a
different way and now see problems that need to be solved that prior to taking
the course I would have not spotted, or thought about. Also this class has
motivated me at some point in my life to try to start my own business, whatever
it may be.
I would tell future students in this course to put forth the
effort to do your best. This is the type of course where the more you put in the
more you will get out of it. So take the blog posts seriously. Don’t just write
the minimum 150 words, take the time and come up with a good post. This will
help you down the road. Don’t wait till 11pm Friday night to do these posts. Do
them earlier in the week so that you have time to write out all of your
thoughts and make them coherent. The best way to foster this mindset is to
think of the posts being due on Wednesday, and the word minimum being 500
words.
I have always enjoyed reading your posts for your class, Josh. I also agree that this format should be structured in every class, rather than exam based. I do not score the best when I take exams, so incorporating this method is more beneficial, especially for me. I like how you indicated your Sunny memes – it gives me a good laugh. Best of luck on finals!
ReplyDeleteI would have to agree with you that more classes should be structured like this course. You truly do get out what you put in. I thought one of the great things about this course was that it taught us how to think more like an entrepreneur and have that entrepreneurial mindset that the best entrepreneurs seem to posses. And I always enjoyed your Always Sunny references as well, best of luck.
